NDTS is the acronym for the National Dual Training System. ‘Dual’ means training in two learning situations, namely:
(i) The actual workplace (company) that covers 70% to 80% practical training (performance) and;
(ii) Training Centre which cover 20% to 30% of theory (knowledge).
The main objective of NDTS – To produce a knowledge worker (K-Workers) that is the employees who possess 3 (three) elements of competency, which are:
(i) Technical
(ii) Social & Humanitarian
(iii) Methodologies & Learning
NDTS is a method that is based on industry-driven training concept which is operated through collaboration between companies and training institutions. NDTS can be implemented by the following methods:
(i) Collaboration between Skill Training Centre (PLK) and
(ii) The company internal training division (in-house)
